The THIRD day

I wonder what the disciples were thinking many, many years ago when Jesus had been crucified the day before? I wonder what they thought as they spent their Sabbath day without Him? Do you think they felt deceived? Do you think they were totally and utterly confused about the whole situation? Do you think they just wanted to move on with their lives and put the past behind them? Unfortunately, I think that is how most people will view tomorrow, Easter. It’s just another day. But it is NOT just another day! Our future did not end at Christmas, when we celebrate Jesus’ birth. Our future did not end at all. It exists because Jesus Christ is real. He was born. He fulfilled prophesy. He died. He overcame death and rose again on the third day. I’m not here to convince anyone. I am here to discuss the facts, to share what I know to be true. Maybe someone will be intrigued by the facts, pick up their bible, and discover for themselves who Jesus is. I don’t have all the answers, but He does.

The angels spoke to Mary and Mary Magdelane. The angels reminded them how quickly they had forgotten. They said, “He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again’” (Luke 24:6-7).

Tomorrow, we celebrate that day. The third day. Don’t forget.
